Mission
Taking Fairbanks' Past into the Future through Education, Advocacy,
and Preservation.

Programs
In the summer, we operate the Wickersham House Museum, a National
Register for Historic Places designated historic home now located in
Pioneer Park.

In the winter, we run a monthly lecture series featuring presentations
about local and state historical topics.  The programs are offered the
3rd Wednesday of each month in Pioneer Hall at Pioneer Park
(formerly Alaskaland)
Finally, we have a
publishing program that
reproduces historical
classics such as
First
Catch Your Moose: the
Fairbanks Cookbook of 1909
and Wickersham's Old Yukon (with the
UA Press) and researches new histories such as
Cold Missions: the
U. S. Army Forces and Ladd Field in WWII
and A History of
Creamer's Dairy, Fairbanks, Alaska.
We also provide
information and assistance
to owners of historic
properties and advocate
for the preservation of the
Interior's historic places
